You can bet I’m gonna be using this deck until the first snowfall (which, being Iowa, could be in two weeks or two months.) Is there anything better than a chilly fall evening on the deck with a warm blanket?

But I’m also not going to take a ton of time to redecorate for what could be two weeks. I like to use a few staple items and incorporate fall flowers like mums, wood-textured accents and pops of fall color.

The only update we’ve made to this deck is changing out the lighting fixture, which is such an easy and significant improvement. 

The actual deck is pretty bent out of shape, so we hope to put on a porch in the next few years. Until then, this outdoor rug disguises any imperfections. And I’ll be snuggled up all season long on this modern and comfy furniture from Target. Shop summer-to-fall patio inspo below:
