It might come as a surprise that I’m not super into seasonal decorating. I think seasonal accents really are very cute, I just don’t find decorating in that way very practical since I’m continually redecorating anyway, ha! I’d rather invest in pieces I could use year-round. And I know seasonal pieces can be stored and used again next year but let’s be honest, we’re all buying new stuff every year, right? No? Just me?
Anyway, I prefer subtle changes to bring fall into the home, like warming up the color palette and using richer, darker hues. My favorite seasonal strategy is bringing in foliage that naturally thrives during that season, like mums in the fall.
And if I find a unique way to incorporate a seasonal staple, like Target’s water hyacinth pumpkins, you know I’m gonna get on board with that.

Autumn Lighting
You guys know I’ve got a thing for copper everything, but I think this color is especially fitting in the fall. I love how these pendants reflect a warm glow throughout the house.
Wall Decor for Fall
03 // Set of 3 Seagrass Baskets
07 // Longhorn Canvas Wall Art
Wheatgrass has always been a fall staple and it’s especially popular this year. Bring this autumn texture into the home in the form of baskets, bundles and accent pieces. I also love the idea of using seasonal foliage as garland around the fireplace. This bay leaf garland reminds me of making soup on a chilly day.
Candles and Candle Holders
05 // Matte Black and Gold Candle Holders
06 // Smoke Glass Vase with Wood Base
10 // Mini Capri Blue Pumpkin Clove Candle
I think many people’s favorite parts about fall is the scents: Pumpkin spice, apple cinnamon, fallen leaves… So of course candles are key this time of year. My absolute favorite candles year round are Capri Blue and this Pumpkin Clove scent doesn’t disappoint. I also love using basic pillar candles to fill varying sizes of candle holders.
Other Fall Accents
Can you tell I ran out of categories to place these items? They’re some of my favorites though. LOVE the amber vases, and I think any blooms would look autumn-ready in these. This black “hello” mat would be so cute layered on top of a 3×5 rug on your front porch. I love that the colors ode to Halloween but there’s nothing too in-your-face. Lastly, these target pumpkins come in 4 different designs and all are worth checking out. I purchased this one myself. Bless you, Target.
