If lockdown continues into the summer, I think we’ll all be using our own patios/outdoor spaces a LOT more this year. Wine glass in hand.
So, I thought it would be fun to do a “choose your destination”-style patio styling using similar, affordable patio sets – to show that you don’t need to spend a ton of money to have a beautiful outdoor space!
Patio destination number one:
A dry desert breeze blows through your hair while you sip your mimosa on a cozy daybed… You’re in Palm Springs!
I love the casual California desert vibes of Palm Springs. Contrary to its name, Palm Springs’ natural landscape has more cacti than palm trees. To emulate this laid-back desert style, use beige and earth tones with geometric patterns.

Patio destination number two:
House music is bumping while you sip your frozé in a pastel-colored lounge chair by the pool… You’re in Miami b—-! (You know, like the song. This is a family-friendly blog. 😉 )
Emulate the lively vibe of South Beach with pastel-colors, art-deco furniture and plenty of greenery. And be sure to include some fun lanterns to keep your patio alive past sunset.

Pick a few accents:
I hope this helped you get inspired to decorate your own patio/deck/outdoor place! Which patio destination would you choose? Let me know in the comments.
