Chances are you’re spending a lot more time at home these days, and if you’re lucky enough to be working from home during this time, you’re probably sick of the same scenery and ready to redecorate (or actually create) the ol’ home office.
I personally love having a dedicated home office on our main floor. It’s one of our 3 rooms on the main floor: kitchen, living room, office. We knew we’d never use a formal dining or sitting room and we’ve definitely gotten our money’s worth out of the office by now. But, you don’t have to have a dedicated space for an office at home. You can create one by placing a desk against a wall of a guest bedroom, segmenting part of the basement, or just taking advantage of any quiet space in your house.
Here’s three ways to decorate your space for maximum inspiration and productivity:
Shop Bazaar-inspired Home Office Decor
This Bazaar-inspired home office uses bright colors, patterns and palm leaves to inspire creativity. This desk is a nice size that could fit along one wall in a room if you don’t have a dedicated office space. Hang these inexpensive prints together with tape or tack to make you feel like you’ve traveled to the Italian coast while you work.
Shop Zen Home Office Decor
This zen-inspired home office uses soft, bright colors and soothing decor to help generate productivity. I love an L-shaped desk because you can place it in a corner with a window, then hang inspiration or productivity tools, like the acrylic planner above, in your sight line.
Shop Neutral Home Office Decor
This neutral home office fits with any decor style. I personally love this rattan desk and had to include it, but it’s a wee bit pricey. If you’re looking for something on the cheaper end, look for a natural wood tone to achieve the same look. My favorite way to add personality to a room is with a rug. This mustard color is on trend and adds a pop of color without overwhelming the space.
