The year 2018 has most definitely been the fastest year of my life. I still can’t believe it’s halfway through November and Christmas is approaching, fast. But that’s okay because who doesn’t love this season? Cozy blankets, evergreen-scented candles, enough food at dinner to feed a small nation…
Besides the harrowing Iowa weather that sets in November through March, winter is great!
Sometimes gift-giving can be really difficult. Especially when it seems like someone already has everything they could possibly want (or anything they could possibly want is way too expensive.)
When I look for a gifts I try to find items people wouldn’t normally buy for themselves, but within the realm of the giftee’s current interests. For example, if your friend has never been into getting pampered, my first suggestion below probably isn’t for her.
And yes, my gift guides exclude dads and husbands and men in general because I’ve honestly never found a gift on a gift guide that I thought oh yes, my {insert man} would love that. Just get them another clothing item with their favorite sports team on it. That’s probably all they want anyway.
01 // Aveda Gift Sets
These cute gift sets by Aveda have the most festive packaging and there’s so many set options: hair care, skin care, essential oils… Plus all of them have the heavenly-spa scent.
02 // Chenille Cable Knit Blanket
Chenille, cable knit and faux fur. I can’t think of a more cozy trio. This blanket goes perfect with Christmas decor.
03 // Home Body Book
Joanna’s new book is out just in time for Christmas. I haven’t read this one but I’m hoping to soon. I do have her cookbook which has delicious and easy recipes.
04 // Hydro Flask Wine Tumbler
Collin got me two of these and I love them. They’re a cute way to take your wine with you without using, you know, a brown paper bag. My friends and I have found these quite handy when walking to the salon near my apartment.
05 // Casetify Apple Watch Band
This band is a great option for Apple Watch wearers. Typically the watches come with a leather band, so it’d be fun to swap it with one of these steel mesh bands for a more dressy vibe.
06 // Sloth Heating Pad
A great option for any pregnant gals (or gals in general, cramps, muscle soreness, etc.) This adorable heating pad from UO can be microwaved or put in the freezer to act as a cooling pad.
07 // Slip Silk Pillow and Eye Mask
These silk pillowcases are said to reduce aging and bed head. Sleeping on silk definitely helps with next-day hair, and this one comes with a matching eye mask.
08 // Capri Blue Volcano Room Spray
Everyone’s favorite candle… In a room spray! I like using room sprays during cleaning to mitigate any chemical or overpowering smells. This scent, if you haven’t yet been converted, is one of the best.
